Full Stack Java Developer

- A bachelors degree or equivalent qualification - 5-8 years of direct experience in software development and Oracle database management - Over 6 years of experience in Java EE development - Background in investment or financial services, ideally in the equity compensation arena - Strong comprehension of networking and distributed computing environments - Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organization in a fast-paced setting while achieving deadlines - Eagerness to stay updated with emerging technologies and apply them to business challenges - Familiarity with Agile development frameworks like SCRUM, Extreme Programming, TDD, etc. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage collaboratively with team members - Advanced skills in crafting intricate SQL queries using Oracle - Proficient in Oracle PL/SQL including stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers - Experience optimizing queries and stored procedures to manage large data volumes - Practical experience utilizing GitHub for source code management within a data engineering context - Knowledge of DevOps principles related to source control management, continuous integration, and deployment - Understanding of Docker for containerization and AWS for cloud deployment and application management - Familiarity with microservices architecture and emerging patterns like APIs, JAX-RS, and REST/JSON - Application development utilizing Java EE and the Spring framework - Experience with relational databases such as DB2 or Oracle and NoSQL databases - Awareness of infrastructure technologies, including Kubernetes and Kafka - Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and UDeploy, along with containerization and version control systems like GIT and GitHub - Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
