Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of experience in software development
- More than 5 years of experience with Java EE
- At least 2 years of experience in leading a software development team
- Proficiency with Maven-based Spring/Spring Boot (experience with reactive programming is a plus)
- Familiarity with Microservice architecture and design patterns (experience with event-driven design is a plus)
- Knowledge of relational databases and stored procedure design (NoSQL experience is a plus)
- Background in Kubernetes, Containers, GitOps, and Jenkins is advantageous
- Understanding of SDLC methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, XP, etc.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a Software Engineering team
- Onboard talent or contract resources as needed based on demand from the Digital Engineering leadership
- Oversee technical software development processes across multiple application development domains for our software product lines
- Establish and enforce best practices for the software development lifecycle, including solution architecture, build, and testing
- Ensure system stability and performance in line with service level agreements in collaboration with Platform & Operations
- Collaborate with Scrum and Release Managers to guarantee timely delivery of projects
- Implement quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality applications that meet regulatory requirements
- Manage the sourcing of technical resources, employing off-site or offshore options where suitable
- Promote a culture of creativity, teamwork, speed, innovation, and excellence while continually enhancing the quality and capabilities of our product development organization
