Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline with 4-6 years of experience in creating ESD solutions for microelectronic chips and packages
- Expertise in developing innovative ESD solutions for devices based on III-V substrates
- Proficiency in HBM and CDM testing methods and protocols for low ESD threshold devices
- Skilled in conducting failure analysis on prototypes of ESD solutions and ESD tested devices, identifying and classifying diverse failure analysis modes and mechanisms
- Background in establishing CDM test setups and gathering data
- Familiarity with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and EDS chemical analysis pertaining to materials and failure analysis
- Strong experience with statistical data analysis tools to assess test sample requirements and analyze test data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, demonstrating a collaborative team spirit
- Additional experience with failure analysis using EBIRCH/EBIC/EBAC in SEM is advantageous
- Familiarity with thermal cycling of chips from room temperature to 4K is a plus
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Chip and Packaging teams to grasp ESD threshold and related requirements
- Formulate action plans for the proposed ESD solutions from the team and implement these plans
- Evaluate various ESD solutions and rapidly collect ESD test data
- Perform electrical measurements before and after ESD and thermal cycling experiments
- Organize and conduct thermal cycling experiments
- Configure CDM ESD test setups and confirm their performance
- Carry out quality analyses on received test samples and conduct failure analysis on ESD tested and thermally cycled samples using optical and scanning electron microscopies
- Collaborate with other teams for swift development of ESD solutions and deliver outcomes promptly
- Execute HBM and ESD tests on baseline and refined designs, documenting the ESD thresholds
- Conduct failure analyses of devices using EBIRCH/EBIC/EBAC in SEM
- Ensure ESD protection protocols are maintained during sample preparation, handling, packaging, and measurement processes
- Engage with team members on various measurements and analyses within a multifunctional team environment
