Requirements
Must:
- Experience providing support for A/V Teams Conference Room Equipment and MacBooks in a corporate setting
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of standard end-user hardware and software, able to troubleshoot most issues by adhering to established guidelines
- Possesses expertise in typical end-user hardware and software, with the capability to resolve client concerns
- Has a fundamental grasp of network connectivity and related infrastructure
- Evaluates the clients comfort with technology, helping to alleviate any anxiety or stress
- Engages comfortably in ongoing conversations with clients, even during challenging or confusing situations
- Recognizes the structure of the technology organization, knowing when to escalate client or operational issues
Responsibilities
- Assess hardware and software requests to provide tailored solutions that align with business needs and official standards, documenting processes as appropriate
- Support and manage the end-user environment, which may involve setting up new hardware, addressing virus notifications, and installing as well as troubleshooting software and patches
- Deliver direct assistance to users regarding supported hardware, software, and devices; this includes restoring services, offering user training, and coordinating warranty repairs with third-party vendors
- Oversee the installation, support, and decommissioning of hardware such as desktops, laptops, thin clients, monitors, mobile devices, and printers; also responsible for installing and maintaining related software, including data wiping before hardware is destroyed or redistributed
- Document and enhance work processes and standards in the area, including creating guides for troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Carry out facility relocations under supervision as part of the Desktop Support Technician duties
- Ensure adherence to relevant policies and regulations while escalating any issues as necessary
- Utilize a range of procedures or methods to effectively implement solutions
