Requirements
Must:
- Degree or ongoing degree in Computer Science
- 2-3 years of experience in desktop support, specifically with Windows 7/10; familiarity with Mac OS and mobile devices is advantageous
- Strong analytical capabilities: proficiency in PC/Mac skills, including MS Office, Outlook, and Google Apps
- Fundamental knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and networking concepts and terminologies
- Experience with scripting languages, particularly PowerShell
- Familiarity with editing MSI packages using ORCA
- Advanced understanding of modifying and scripting drivers for PCs and laptops
- Experience working with Windows Server and Active Directory
- Proven track record in troubleshooting desktop security and configuration management, particularly with Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and crafting custom policies
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in documenting processes and procedures
- Strong familiarity with at least one imaging or automation tool
- Ability to swiftly adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple responsibilities
- Self-driven with a high level of enthusiasm and energy
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Virtual Desktop Administrator by constructing, refining, and deploying images for new workstations for corporate staff, including desktops and laptops
- Lead the maintenance and support of installed workstations, addressing OS upgrades, installing software, and troubleshooting software and image-related issues
- Identify and rectify unique and recurring problems related to application software and operating systems; assess the issues source, classification, and priority
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and provide support for computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other related hardware
- Install and support PC, laptop, tablet, and mobile hardware and software as a Virtual Desktop Administrator; possessing relevant certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, or HDI is a plus
- Develop alternative approaches to complete tasks, remedy user errors, and resolve system inconsistencies to enhance desktop team efficiency
- Engage in hardware and software evaluations and provide purchasing recommendations
- Oversee the inventory of installed software, manage licensing, and establish policies for upgrades
- Collaborate with hardware and software vendors to ensure timely product delivery and proper installation of new equipment
- Analyze and propose recommendations for standardizing hardware and software configurations
- Design, architect, and implement SMS/SCCM while managing application deployment in a large-scale environment
