Desktop Engineer - Windows and Hardware Support

- Engineer, deploy, maintain, and provide support for desktop, laptop, peripheral, and endpoint technologies according to enterprise standards - Design and oversee standard workstation configurations utilizing modern provisioning tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Autopilot) - Manage endpoint management systems for device setups, compliance enforcement, software distribution, and patching - Develop and uphold endpoint configuration, security, and compliance guidelines using MDM/MAM solutions - Coordinate workstation setups, transitions, and hardware upgrades for new employees and office changes - Offer engineering-level assistance for Windows endpoints, resolving complex OS, hardware, and software issues - Package, test, deploy, and manage approved software while adhering to change and compliance protocols - Configure, secure, and support corporate mobile devices, including their enrollment and policy enforcement - Assist in managing remote and hybrid work environments, ensuring secure setups for home workers - Engage in vulnerability management tasks, including coordinating patch compliance and remediation - Monitor and improve endpoint compliance status, addressing encryption, antivirus/EDR, and configuration baseline issues - Maintain necessary documentation, evidence, and controls for audits and regulatory evaluations - Adhere to existing work order, change, and incident management processes - Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support for endpoint-related issues and service requests - Keep precise endpoint records, SOPs, and troubleshooting manuals - Support asset inventory management, lifecycle tracking, and equipment maintenance logs - Investigate and assess new technologies in endpoint security and compliance - Collaborate with security, risk, and compliance teams to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations - Execute other related tasks as assigned
