Requirements
Must:
- 5-10 years of experience as an Application Data Modeler focusing on relational database design and data normalization
- Strong teamwork and excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proven experience in an agile/scrum setting as a shared resource
- Familiarity with data modeling tools such as DbSchema, ER/Studio, or erwin
- Proficient in relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience with data catalog tools like Alation or Collibra
- Knowledge of Data Governance aspects related to data privacy, security, and retention
- Background in Insurance, Insurtech, or Fintech sectors
Responsibilities
- Work closely with software engineering teams to convert business needs into database designs that enhance the development of resilient software products
- Employ contemporary data modeling tools to execute physical data modeling
- Adhere to and contribute to best practices in data modeling
- Advocate for the capturing and preserving of metadata through a data catalog solution
- Partner with database engineering, big data, and information security teams to maintain the integrity, quality, and security of all data

In this position, you will collaborate with Software Engineers to design databases for online applications that deliver top-tier services to our customers. You will utilize state-of-the-art data tools to create robust databases that ensure high-quality, valuable data.
