Requirements
Must:
- Previous experience in a comparable position or significant expertise and skills to effectively carry out the specified responsibilities
- Relevant education and/or training considered advantageous
- Familiarity with OT, ICS, or industrial settings
- Background in gas, energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure operations
- Experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or systems administration
- Knowledge in cybersecurity, risk management, or vulnerability management
- Strong analytical skills for complex problem-solving and clear communication
- Comfort in engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Inquisitive nature with a learning-oriented mindset and willingness to ask questions
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with multiple teams
- Proficient in producing reports and metrics that convey information clearly and precisely
Responsibilities
- Serve as a reliable partner to various business units
- Convert cybersecurity risks, such as vulnerabilities and OT exposures, into business-relevant impacts and options
- Facilitate decision-making by outlining risks, trade-offs, and remediation strategies beyond just identifying control gaps
- Assist in security assessments for OT environments and hybrid IT/OT setups
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to understand actual system usage rather than just design specifications
- Support secure integration of new assets, vendors, or acquisitions into existing systems
- Help prioritize remediation efforts based on operational impact and risk
- Monitor remediation commitments and timelines
- Identify recurring patterns or system-wide issues
- Contribute to risk evaluations, exception reviews, and documentation in cooperation with Cyber teams
- Collect, document, and clarify security requirements in an accessible manner for non-security personnel
- Develop concise summaries, risk narratives, and visuals for leadership and stakeholders
- Aid in standardizing repeatable processes and templates to minimize friction and reduce rework
