Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience along with relevant certifications
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux), networking, and cyber threats
- Strong enthusiasm for cybersecurity with a desire to learn through practical experience
- Excellent writing and documentation capabilities, with a keen eye for detail
- Proactive attitude, ability to adhere to structured processes, and openness to guidance
- Comfortable taking initiative while working collaboratively with a team
- Ability to articulate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to be flexible and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Availability to join an on-call rotation for urgent incident support when necessary
Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with a senior cybersecurity specialist to aid in daily security operations and projects
- Develop and refresh essential documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident response playbooks
- Assist in executing monthly security awareness training and phishing simulation exercises throughout the organization
- Learn to monitor key security tools, including SIEM and EDR platforms
- Evaluate alerts, support threat triage, and escalate identified risks to the relevant teams
- Engage in incident response tasks such as note-taking, gathering evidence, and summarizing investigations
- Help pinpoint procedural gaps and suggest enhancements to improve our cybersecurity framework
- Maintain organized, up-to-date, and accessible documentation for the team
Description
