Requirements

Must:
- Associates degree or equivalent experience - Minimum of 6 months of experience in community work, public service, healthcare, health education, operations, event support, or stakeholder coordination - Strong verbal and written communication abilities - Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills - Comfortable working directly with the public in a service-oriented setting - Basic proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Preferred: Experience in a community center, nonprofit, healthcare, or public-facing service environment - Preferred: Familiarity with data entry, databases, or CRM tools - Preferred: Bilingual skills based on community needs (Spanish, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Mandarin, or other commonly used languages) - Preferred: Knowledge of community resources, social services, or health education programs

Responsibilities

- Serve as an in-person support resource for community members and visitors - Address inquiries and assist individuals in navigating available health, wellness, and community resources - Identify social drivers related to needs (e.g., access to food, transportation, education) and connect individuals to suitable services - Provide follow-up support in select instances to ensure needs are met - Help organize community engagement activities and events that enhance awareness and participation at the CRC - Assist in promoting classes, workshops, and health-oriented programs - Build strong relationships with community partners, agencies, and vendors - Support daily CRC operations, including scheduling, room setup, and overall coordination - Help with event setup and teardown for classes and clinics (including tables, chairs, and materials) - Maintain precise records and assist with basic data entry and reporting - Support vendor and instructor coordination as necessary - Help with planning, implementing, and evaluating CRC programs and services - Assist with special projects by adhering to established plans, procedures, and timelines - Identify service gaps and offer recommendations for enhancements

We are seeking a dedicated Community Resource Center (CRC) Specialist III to join our team in Norwalk, CA. This hands-on, community-facing position is essential in supporting individuals and families by connecting them to health education, wellness programs, and community resources. Based 100% onsite in El Monte, this role is critical in daily operations, member support, and community engagement, focusing on community health and education rather than enrollment or sales. All services are provided at no cost to the community.
