Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Possession of an OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in technical fields (e.g., automotive, electrical, controls, data centers)
- Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code
- Familiarity with electrical systems in high-availability environments like data centers, refineries, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, or similar sectors
- Flexibility to work various schedules, including 12-hour shifts and rotating shifts
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Preferred: Designation as a Qualified Electrical Worker
- Previous experience in a data center is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily operational assessments of all electrical equipment through routine inspections and logging of parameters (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)
- Power up cabinets as needed
- Perform quarterly and annual preventative maintenance on Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
- Execute preventative maintenance on system control panels
- Oversee battery preventative maintenance
- Aid in the troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of instrument sensors
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and adhere to physical security policies while completing tasks
