Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field
- Relevant technical and industry certifications such as CISSP, ISSMP, SANS, GIAC, GCIA, CISM, CEH, GCFA, GCFE, GCIH, or GSEC are preferable
- Over 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity Operations or Information Security
- Familiarity with various security domains including Incident Response and Forensics, Security Governance and Oversight, Security Risk Management, Network Security, or Threat and Vulnerability Management is advantageous
- Experience in information security risk management, audits, reviews, and assessments
- Proficiency in security data collection, analysis, and correlation
- In-depth knowledge of security and regulatory frameworks (CRI, ISO 27001, NIST 800 series, FFIEC, SOC2, STAR, etc.)
- Strong expertise in Incident Response
- Understanding of offensive security and common attack techniques
- Ability to pivot across multiple datasets to correlate artifacts of a security incident
- Theoretical and practical experience with Mac OS, Linux, Windows operating systems, and cloud platforms
- Excellent analytical, qualitative, and quantitative skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities
- Broad skill set encompassing product security and information security, including organizational structure, system development, and security controls
- Fluency in both English and Japanese, coupled with cultural understanding, is essential
- Effective time management skills to juggle various tasks and mentor junior analysts as necessary
Responsibilities
- Analyze artifacts to uncover intrusion methods and recommend resolutions while enhancing security
- Monitor security events, conduct investigations, and manage the overall incident response process
- Assess potential cybersecurity incidents across diverse environments using an array of tools and techniques
- Formulate information security policies, standards, and procedures
- Assist compliance teams such as IT risk management and auditors by ensuring complete documentation and adherence to security policies
- Generate reports that evaluate activities or trends both internally and externally
- Aid in crafting security operation detections, playbooks, and automations to enhance threat detection, monitoring, response, and forensic activities
- Review internal logs and alerts to pinpoint potential cybersecurity incidents
- Prioritize cases based on automated alert outputs, determining when to escalate to other teams
- Oversee external service provider activities to identify possible cybersecurity incidents
- Analyze security data from various systems in real-time to detect and counter potential threats
- Examine compromised systems and restore them to a secure state
- Conduct breach indicator assessments to evaluate network traffic for malicious activities
- Support internal or third-party employee investigations
