Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline or 2-5 years of experience as a BIM Modeler/Drafter with a focus on telecommunications or electrical systems
- 2-5 years of practical drafting and modeling proficiency in one or more of the low-voltage systems mentioned
- Proficiency in Autodesk CAD software, specifically:
- Revit (mandatory)
- AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Navisworks (mandatory)
- In-depth knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) principles and processes
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Revizto
- Prior involvement in providing BIM deliverables during the construction phase
Responsibilities
- Create BIM models and construction documentation in alignment with architects and various engineering disciplines throughout all project stages
- Execute precise drafting and modeling for telecommunications and low-voltage systems, including:
- Data/voice structured cabling
- Audiovisual and conferencing systems
- Wireless systems (such as Wi-Fi)
- Public safety distribution systems
- Access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems
- Employ Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks for model development, coordination, and clash analysis
- Facilitate BIM coordination efforts by ensuring models are accurate and of high quality to minimize rework
- Effectively engage with internal teams, clients, and construction partners to support project delivery
- Manage multiple modeling projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
- Work independently as well as in collaboration with project teams
- Provide modeling assistance for local projects and collaborate with teams on various projects across the organization
- Apply keen attention to detail and analytical skills to address design and coordination issues
Description
We are looking for a BIM Modeler with practical drafting and modeling expertise in telecommunications and low-voltage systems to join our team in Austin, TX. This position will focus on production modeling and generating construction documentation rather than BIM coordination. As a BIM Modeler, you will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project teams, striving to minimize rework and ensure project schedules are met.
