Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree is essential
- Over 7 years of practical experience in data and cloud engineering
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Continuous learner, always seeking to improve knowledge
- Act as a mentor and coach for data engineering associates on the team
- Strong background in crafting complex SQL queries using Oracle (PL/SQL)
- Practical experience with performance optimization techniques and SQL tuning
- Proficient in public cloud technologies, preferably Azure
- Familiarity with handling large datasets
- Skilled in ETL strategy design and development
- Knowledgeable in principles of resiliency and stability design, including SRE
- Experience in designing large, complex systems
- Understanding of distributed application design and development (Java, .Net, Python) is a plus
- Competent in shell scripting
- Experience working in a Linux environment
- Background in financial services is preferred
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement data solutions in Azure
- Analyze and optimize existing data processes for improved performance
- Develop and execute complex SQL queries to extract meaningful insights
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data engineers
- Design resiliant cloud architectures that ensure data stability
- Work with various stakeholders to understand their data needs
- Implement ETL processes to move and transform data efficiently
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the cloud engineering team
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices
