Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent experience
- Over 3 years of practical experience with vehicle electronics
- Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles
- Familiarity with 12V / 24V vehicle electrical systems
- Knowledge of CAN networks and diagnostic tools
- Experience in supporting field installations or addressing customer technical inquiries
- Willingness to travel nationally up to 50% of the time (usually two weeks per month)
Responsibilities
- Design and configure vehicle control systems utilizing ladder logic and related programming techniques
- Integrate and troubleshoot CAN-based multiplexing systems, including J1939
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to establish application requirements and provide customized solutions
- Interpret electrical diagrams and create system architecture and wiring documentation
- Assist with field installations, commissioning, and customer troubleshooting
- Deliver technical training and produce clear documentation for both internal and external users
- Act as a technical resource for intricate vehicle electrical issues
