Requirements
Must:
- In-depth knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles and web services development.
- Significant experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, OpenStack, Citrix, and Hyper-V.
- Expertise in cloud services like AWS (Amazon Web Services), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Rackspace Cloud.
- Strong understanding of cloud storage options including S3 (Simple Storage Service) and NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
- Practical experience with containerization technologies including Docker and orchestration environments like Kubernetes.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell; knowledgeable in configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef.
- Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server; knowledge of PL/SQL is a plus.
- Solid grasp of DevOps methodologies including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or equivalent tools; experienced with Git version control system.
- Knowledgeable about operating systems, particularly Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Experienced in developing RESTful APIs for web applications; experience with JavaScript frameworks like Node.js or Ruby on Rails is beneficial.
- Capability to implement rigorous system hardening measures; experience with network security protocols such as VPNs is crucial.
- Strong foundation in software development practices including Agile/Scrum; familiarity with SDLC processes applicable to cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee sophisticated cloud infrastructure across various platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and Rackspace.
- Create and automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and Chef to enhance software delivery efficiency.
- Architect and maintain scalable web services and microservices frameworks utilizing RESTful APIs, Docker containers, Kubernetes, and serverless solutions.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to create cloud-based applications using SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), and virtualization technologies like VMware, OpenStack, Citrix, and Hyper-V.
- Ensure system security through thorough system hardening practices and by implementing VPNs, firewalls, encryption techniques, and access controls following industry standards.
- Monitor system performance and reliability using various monitoring tools; resolve issues swiftly to reduce downtime.
- Lead initiatives in system hardening, disaster recovery planning, and compliance audits to maintain security benchmarks across all cloud platforms.
