Requirements
Must:
- Masters degree (MA/MS)
- Over 10 years of pertinent experience
- Demonstrated experience in deploying and managing enterprise data discovery and governance platforms such as BigID, Varonis, or NetApp BlueXP
- Strong understanding of storage protocols (NFS, SMB/CIFS, S3) and database structures (SQL, NoSQL) to troubleshoot access issues
- Skilled in containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker, as many discovery collectors operate as containerized microservices
- Experience handling large-scale data inventories at petabyte levels, with knowledge of data lineage and provenance concepts
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the deployment of BigID and NetApp BlueXP scanners across hybrid environments, including configuring collectors for air-gapped discovery on Top-Secret networks
- Integrate discovery tools with enterprise databases to identify PII, DoD ID numbers, and other sensitive indicators without affecting database performance
- Configure scans for extensive file repositories, optimizing scanning schedules to minimize latency for operational users
- Implement Microsoft Purview Data Map and custom connectors to assess data stored in AWS S3 buckets, Azure Blobs, and Data Lakes
- Collaborate with mission stakeholders to train Machine Learning classifiers to improve identification of unique USSOCOM data types and reduce false positives in the data inventory.
