Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in technical support, help desk, desktop support, or a similar IT support capacity.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, hardware, software, and fundamental networking principles.
- Experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with computer hardware, peripherals, and common troubleshooting methods.
- Basic knowledge of networking components including LAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Proficiency in help desk or ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira.
- Capability to effectively troubleshoot Microsoft Office and other business applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear explanations of technical information to non-technical users.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and time management proficiency.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
- Professional demeanor, reliability, and strong customer-service focus.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to end users in person, via phone, email, or help desk ticketing systems, ensuring timely and professional issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot and rectify hardware, software, and network-related challenges across various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Install, configure, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
- Assist with routine computer management activities, including software updates, system configuration, device setup, and user account maintenance.
- Support networking tasks such as LAN connectivity, VPN access, firewall troubleshooting, and overall network performance issues.
- Aid in maintaining IT infrastructure by assisting with server monitoring, system updates, and other basic administrative duties as required.
- Utilize ticketing and incident management platforms like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira to log, track, update, and resolve support requests.
- Diagnose and fix software issues related to Microsoft Office applications, enterprise software, and other productivity tools.
- Collaborate closely with team members and other departments to escalate intricate issues and ensure appropriate follow-up and resolution.
- Keep thorough documentation of technical issues, troubleshooting processes, solutions, and support activities.
- Adhere to company policies and security protocols to safeguard systems, data, and user access.
- Deliver top-notch customer service while assisting users with their technical inquiries and concerns.
