Requirements

Must:
- 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering, Consulting, or Technical Implementation roles, preferably in a VAR, MSP, or IT services environment. - Proven track record in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise network architectures. - Strong knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching technologies, firewalls, wireless setups, and security best practices. - Solid understanding of the OSI model and essential networking protocols. - Familiar with equipment from vendors such as Cisco, HPE, Aruba, Extreme, and others. - Experience in structured cabling, patching, and maintaining network documentation. - Comfortable supporting endpoints, virtualized systems, hyperconverged infrastructure, and varied network configurations. - Capability to effectively communicate with IT teams, department heads, and executive stakeholders. - Excellent interpersonal skills for building client relationships and interactions. - Proficient at converting technical information into business-focused insights. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. - High emotional intelligence and professionalism in guiding clients through decisions. - Preferred networking certifications from Cisco, HPE Aruba, Extreme Networks, or similar.

Responsibilities

- Consult with clients to define both technical needs and overarching business objectives. - Design and implement network infrastructures, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, VPN, SD-WAN, ZTNA, and structured cabling. - Develop secure, segmented, and resilient network architectures to enhance performance and dependability. - Configure routing protocols, VLANs, VPNs, traffic policies, QoS, and associated security settings. - Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert to assist sales and account teams during discovery, design, and proposal stages. - Present technical solutions to a diverse audience, from IT professionals to high-level executives. - Collaborate with internal teams and vendor partners to ensure solutions meet client specifications. - Troubleshoot network issues and provide prompt, high-quality support for client environments. - Identify and proactively mitigate risks, performance challenges, and misconfigurations. - Work with internal departments to resolve escalated support inquiries. - Maintain detailed documentation and ticket records for billing, tracking, and knowledge sharing. - Adhere to industry best practices regarding network security, configuration management, and monitoring. - Document network designs, configurations, and changes following internal standards. - Contribute to the ongoing improvement of engineering documentation and workflows.
