Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in at least one of the following (or an equivalent) must be obtained within a specified period after hiring: SSCP, CISSP, CISM, or a similar security credential.
- Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience with network and infrastructure systems.
- At least four (4) years of experience in information technology security.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IT security concepts, principles, and practices as well as computer/server operations and user environments.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks, such as NIGC MICS and POIGRA, alongside departmental and organizational policies.
- Deep understanding of vulnerability management and standard security applications.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- High level of customer service and professionalism, alongside strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Capability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills independently, manage projects, and guide team members while installing and configuring systems.
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks accurately in high-pressure situations with limited supervision.
- Quick learner with the ability to work across various system programs.
- Proficient in developing clear and comprehensive reports while maintaining organized documentation.
Responsibilities
- Offer guidance, leadership, and oversight in the planning of cybersecurity systems and application security strategies.
- Supervise the creation, execution, and assessment of the organizations information security program.
- Actively monitor networks, critical systems, and databases for security breaches and anomalies.
- Gather and analyze security data to support risk mitigation and performance enhancement.
- Provide advice on Risk Management Framework assessments and other security-related issues.
- Investigate and suggest advancements in security technologies to boost organizational capabilities.
- Design and implement security features within system architectures.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, identify weaknesses, and execute remediation strategies.
- Establish security requirements for computer systems and recommend implementation solutions.
- Work collaboratively with Network and Systems Administrators to identify vulnerabilities, validate patch requirements, and ensure adherence to standards.
- Install, configure, and maintain security systems such as antivirus, anti-malware, firewalls, and IDS/IPS tools.
- Develop and uphold Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans specific to cybersecurity threats.
- Create cybersecurity training materials and facilitate training sessions for team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
