Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field. - 4-7+ years of relevant professional experience in software development for robotics or hardware systems. - Strong expertise in C++ with a thorough understanding of memory management and real-time constraints, including familiarity with C++11 and C++14. - Solid grasp of the mathematical and physical principles underlying robotics, such as linear algebra and kinematics. - Ability to implement and optimize control loops and path planning algorithms for physics-based robotic challenges. - Experience in supporting software testing and deployment workflows. - Participate in code reviews and collaborate effectively with hardware engineers to troubleshoot integration issues. - Proficient in working with Linux-based systems, including compiling dependencies and managing drivers and kernel modules. - Familiarity with Git for version control and GitHub for collaborative development processes. - Strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly to team members and management. - Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays. - Strong technical aptitude and willingness to acquire new skills as needed. - Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations and address workplace challenges proactively. - Capable of using light tools and equipment such as scissors, pliers, screwdrivers, and 3D printers. - Experience with computers and laptops.

- Design and develop high-quality C++ algorithms and software for real-time robotic systems, motion planning, and control. - Integrate and thoroughly test algorithms and software into existing robotic motion planning frameworks like MoveIt2 and ROS2. - Maintain stewardship over existing software pipelines while enhancing related software subsystems for robotic motion planning, controls, sensors, and actuators. - Focus on building reliable software for autonomous robotics and hardware and sensor integration to address control challenges. - Engage in effective collaboration with team members to foster problem-solving and innovation. - Contribute to the advancement of the software architecture to ensure production-ready quality.
