Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent - Relevant security certification preferred (e.g., Security+, SSCP, CISSP, or GIAC) - Relevant technical certification preferred (e.g., OSCP/OSCE, GIAC (GSEC/GPEN/GCIH), Microsoft SC-200/SC-300/SC-100) - Over 6 years of experience in vulnerability management, security engineering, or a related cybersecurity role - Hands-on experience with vulnerability management platforms and scanners (e.g., Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7) - Proven track record in defining vulnerability prioritization models, remediation SLAs, and governance practices - Strong familiarity with Windows and Linux patching/configuration, endpoint management, and core enterprise infrastructure - Experience in Microsoft 365 security administration and Exchange Online concepts, along with Proofpoint email security experience - Experience managing outsourced IT providers, ensuring SLA performance and security deliverables - Exceptional communication skills, with a capacity to influence and drive remediation across teams - Ability to mentor team members and offer clear guidance on vulnerability management - Proficiency in using ticketing/workflow tools (e.g., ServiceNow/Jira) and producing audit-ready documentation - Scripting skills in PowerShell and/or Python for reporting and process automation - Preferred experience integrating vulnerability data with SIEM/SOAR, asset management, or cloud security tools - Knowledge of security best practices and frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, CIS Controls)

Responsibilities

- Manage the entire lifecycle of the vulnerability management program including discovery, validation, and remediation tracking - Administer and optimize vulnerability scanning tools, including setting policies and monitoring results - Collaborate with IT teams to maintain accurate vulnerability records and improve data management practices - Translate technical findings into actionable tasks for system owners, ensuring timely remediation - Develop and enforce vulnerability remediation standards and manage risk acceptance processes - Coordinate patch management activities and ensure compliance through validation checks - Generate detailed risk reports and communicate vulnerabilities and remediation performance to stakeholders - Support secure configuration practices and validate alignment with recognized standards - Facilitate external penetration tests and track findings towards closure - Conduct vulnerability assessments with emphasis on exploitability and business impact - Lead responses to emerging threats, coordinating remediation and stakeholder engagement - Supervise the management of vulnerability-related tasks in service management systems - Drive continuous improvement initiatives for vulnerability management practices - Oversee the security governance of outsourced IT remediation deliverables - Collaborate with vendors to ensure effective remediation and reporting across security gaps - Manage Microsoft 365 security features relevant to reducing vulnerabilities - Oversee email security configurations to enhance protection and reduce false positives in filtering processes
