Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; masters degree is a plus.
- 5-7 years of experience in roles such as technical analyst, software analyst, or quality assurance analyst.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms and integrations like Salesforce, AWS, and Google Workspace, along with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Domo.
- Experience in data modeling, mapping, transformation, ETL concepts, or API integrations.
- Proficient in form design, basic logic/workflow development, and user experience design.
- Knowledge of Apex/JavaScript in a Salesforce environment or similar.
- Understanding of data types, joins, data flows, and fundamental statistics.
- Capability to utilize scripting languages (JavaScript, Python) for data validation or process automation.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to grasp complex systems and data flows.
- Skillful in recognizing and communicating technical risks, dependencies, and data inconsistencies.
- Logical thinking regarding system dependencies and the impact of technical changes on users.
- Experience in managing technical requirements, conducting functional testing, and overseeing release management.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, particularly in technical documentation.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with cross-functional groups.
- A proactive approach and curiosity about enhancing platform reliability and data integrity.
- Experience with sorority or fraternity member experiences is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Implement the technology roadmap for designated software functions or features.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and peers to manage a request backlog, prioritizing initiatives based on business significance and technical viability.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of software functionalities to identify improvement and innovation opportunities.
- Participate in all stages of software development, from initial concept through to deployment and maintenance.
- Work closely with vendors and subject matter experts to design solutions using the Kappa Delta technology stack.
- Convert business and operational needs into functional specifications for development teams to execute.
- Adhere to and collaborate on the Kappa Delta software development playbook to maintain consistent architecture across technologies.
- Engage in configuration and development tasks, either as an individual contributor or in collaboration, depending on project demands.
- Conduct functional testing and data validation using a deep understanding of systems, along with analytical skills and technical expertise.
- Provide support to peers across software platforms as needed to ensure consistent development practices.
- Manage integrations between software platforms to ensure accurate data transfer and reliable workflows.
- Create and maintain thorough software documentation, including process maps, data models, data flow diagrams, technical specifications, and user guides.
- Assist the user community with issues reported to the Kappa Delta help desk.
