Sanitation Technical Writer & Trainer Lead

- Coordinate sanitation activities to achieve quality, food safety, regulatory, cost, and safety goals - Implement GMPs, food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and company guidelines - Assist in preparation for state, federal, customer, and third-party inspections - Conduct sanitation validation through visual inspections, ATP testing, microbial testing, and allergen checks - Verify appropriate chemical usage and concentration for sanitation processes - Minimize downtime associated with sanitation tasks or pre-operational inspections - Complete, review, and keep accurate sanitation documentation and records - Develop, update, and validate Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs) for equipment and facility cleaning - Assist with disassembly, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembly of processing equipment and relevant areas - Communicate any sanitation issues, risks, or concerns to leadership and aid in resolutions - Properly utilize and guide others in wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in relation to chemical handling - Monitor chemical inventory and move chemicals throughout the facility as necessary - Undertake special sanitation-related tasks as required - Assign and prioritize daily sanitation duties for the sanitation team - Collaborate with sanitation leadership to align on objectives, direction, and key performance indicators (KPIs) - Educate sanitation associates on SSOPs, documentation, sanitation processes, and safe chemical handling - Influence and guide cross-functional teams to bolster sanitation and food safety initiatives
