Requirements
Must:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in application support.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Social Science, Education, Business, Health Care, or a related field.
- Minimum three (3) years of working experience in IT or operations; equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
- Two (2) years of experience in the administration and custom configuration of large off-the-shelf applications or software packages (preferred).
- Three (3) years of system administration experience (preferred).
- One (1) year of experience requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above) (preferred).
- Two (2) years of experience in a large matrix organization (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Complete work assignments by utilizing current knowledge in the field to meet deadlines, adhering to policies and procedures, applying data towards initiatives, and collaborating across functions to resolve business challenges.
- Actively engage in self-improvement and foster effective relationships by sharing resources and knowledge with colleagues and clients, seeking feedback, and responding to others needs.
- Ensure timely delivery of effective, sustainable solutions.
- Offer first and second level support for enterprise systems and additional IT domains by diagnosing and resolving complex issues to minimize system disruptions.
- Monitor systems to maintain stability, availability, and performance, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with technical and project teams to troubleshoot system and application-specific concerns.
- Escalate identified issues, risks, or problems to lead administrators per established processes.
- Plan and conduct complex system configurations.
- Facilitate communication with product users and suppliers to share insights, identify opportunities, resolve challenges, prioritize needs, and implement continuous improvements through customer feedback.
- Define and assess maintenance and refresh activities.
- Participate in the installation, upgrading, or decommissioning of designated systems, products, and infrastructure.
- Provide application-oriented administration and technical support for production and non-production settings.
- Assist with vendor support activities, when necessary.
- Suggest and implement performance tuning and optimization strategies.
- Document new and existing system configurations and procedures, and review documentation prepared by others.
