Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience and/or training
- Proficient in operating microprocessor-based devices
- Skilled in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems (including chillers and boilers)
- Expertise in electrical distribution and operating room equipment
- Familiarity with medical gas systems and alarm operations
- Knowledgeable in water treatment, steam systems, refrigeration, compressors, pumps, electric motors, and variable frequency drives
- Journeyman-level field service experience in electrical and/or refrigeration settings
- Understanding of preventive maintenance practices and work order systems, preferably MP2
- Capability to perform tasks across various trade classifications including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC
- Ability to read and understand basic instructions and correspondence
- Strong writing skills for simple correspondence
- Proficient in presenting information effectively in individual or small group settings
- Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds frequently
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Drivers License (California)
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbons Certificate
Responsibilities
- Carry out tasks supporting the operation and maintenance of physical plant equipment and systems, including life support and safety equipment
- Work in emergency situations as needed, including weekends and off hours
- Conduct inspections and necessary adjustments of equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, operation, and maintenance manuals to ensure proper equipment function
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both regular and emergency scenarios
- Operate and adjust various pieces of physical plant equipment using computers and microprocessor devices
- Test newly installed machinery and equipment to confirm compliance with contract specifications
- Perform additional duties as required
