Requirements
Must:
- Minimum one (1) year in an informal leadership role working with IT or operational teams.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Social Science, Education, Business, Health Care or a related field and minimum six (6) years of experience in IT or operations. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
- Four (4) years of system administration experience (preferred).
- One (1) year of work experience engaging with senior leadership (preferred).
- Three (3) years of experience in a large matrixed organization (preferred).
- Four (4) years of experience in writing documentation or standard operating procedures related to system administration (preferred).
- Two (2) years of experience collaborating with IT vendors (preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and experience in debugging and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist technical and project team members to troubleshoot system issues and application-specific problems.
- Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of enterprise systems through complex analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide first and second-level support for enterprise systems, diagnosing and resolving complex incidents.
- Communicate with product users and suppliers to share information, prioritize requirements, and drive continuous improvement based on feedback.
- Plan and execute complex system configurations and changes.
- Participate in the installation, upgrade, or decommissioning of systems and infrastructure.
- Document both new and existing system configurations and procedures thoroughly.
- Influence and participate in change management processes to enhance system performance.
- Recommend and execute performance tuning and optimization activities.
- Coordinate resources and timelines to meet business priorities and deadlines.
- Support vendor activities as necessary.
Description
We are part of the Imaging department within the Clinical Ancillary Retail Technologies group in Kaiser Permanente, located primarily in Lake Oswego, OR, serving numerous clinical facilities across Oregon and southwest Washington. Our mission is to facilitate the implementation and maintenance of Medical Imaging standard products that cater to our clinical partners. We offer a collaborative work environment where you will work closely with clinicians, technical teams, and vendors, and you will play a crucial role in maintaining system stability and performance. This full-time role includes a mix of on-site support and some remote capabilities, with a commitment to professional development and inclusive workplace practices.
