Requirements
Must:
- Minimum four (4) years of experience with commercial off-the-shelf package integration.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience with data and integration technologies (e.g., ESB ETL, EAI).
- Minimum four (4) years of experience translating solution requirements into technical application requirements.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in the design of target state architecture within a corporate or enterprise setting.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in solution architecture, including overseeing a portfolio of solutions.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience with application development frameworks (e.g., Spring, Jersey, Oracle ADF).
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN, UML, ER).
- Minimum four (4) years of experience translating solution requirements into technical architecture needs.
- Minimum four (4) years in a technical leadership role, with or without direct reports.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Business, or related technical field, along with a minimum of ten (10) years of IT experience delivering technical solutions, including at least four (4) years in IT architecture. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Responsibilities
- Drive the execution of multiple work streams by identifying customer and operational requirements; developing and updating new processes and policies; gaining cross-functional support for goals and priorities; translating business strategy into actionable requirements; securing and allocating resources; setting benchmarks and evaluating progress; mitigating obstacles affecting performance; guiding performance and developing contingency plans; solving complex issues; and influencing task completion by team members.
- Practice self-leadership and encourage learning in others by soliciting and acting on performance feedback; building collaborative relationships across functions; communicating information and providing advice to promote project advancement; adapting to competing demands; providing feedback to colleagues, including upward feedback to leadership; influencing, mentoring, and coaching team members; fostering open communication among team members; assessing and responding to the strengths and weaknesses of self and team members; and adapting to and learning from changes and challenges.
- Lead the development of architecture strategy and technology direction within technical domains by collaborating with executives to translate business and IT objectives into architectural approaches.
- Provide expert insights and share an understanding of current capability and architectural gaps, alongside market and industry trends to inform future direction.
- Define and communicate architecture standards, guidelines, and strategic directions by offering expertise and guidance to architects in the design of these standards, ensuring alignment with IT strategy and target architecture.
- Review, contribute to, and approve architecture standards or controls to satisfy business needs.
- Develop and establish best practices in architecture that guide technology solution design.
- Maintain architecture for assigned domain(s) (e.g., data, infrastructure), ensuring alignment with IT strategy and target architecture.
- Offer vision for strategic roadmaps that integrate business, applications, data, integration, and infrastructure architecture.
- Manage the development of transition plans for moving from current to target state architecture.
- Provide consulting to architects on developing architectural designs.
- Aid in creating the vision for adopting new impactful technologies by researching technical trends and developments.
- Collaborate with senior IT and business leadership to facilitate and influence decisions on technology investments.
- Foster innovation across the team by leveraging a deep understanding of enterprise architecture within the organization.
- Ensure the adoption of architectural best practices for assigned domain(s), educating others on architecture methodologies, governance, and standards, serving as a subject matter expert across business and/or IT teams, and presenting to internal and external audiences, including senior leadership.
- Build partnerships with architects and stakeholders to promote continuous development and achieve consensus on changes to the companys architectural practices.
- Manage reporting duties to executives, key business leaders, and IT management, ensuring communication of the impact of architectural practices.
