Requirements
Must:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience with projects involving the development life cycle (e.g., SDLC)
- At least two (2) years in a technical leadership role, with or without direct reports
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related discipline, or a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in software development or a comparable field (equivalent experience may substitute for the degree requirement)
- Two (2) years of experience in a position requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above) is preferred
- Four (4) years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high-level design for sophisticated solutions is preferred
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and delivering secure, scalable solutions using DEVOPS, Waterfall, and Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of standards-based federation and authorization patterns such as OAuth2/OIDC and SAML2
- Oversee business projects, ensuring compliance with procedures and policies while devising work plans to align with business priorities
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and mentoring within the team and across departments
- Provide technical guidance throughout the release schedule of business and enterprise software solutions
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and stable software solutions collaborating with Business Analysts
- Maintain service reliability and enhance security measures while addressing complex federation and authentication issues
- Develop comprehensive testing scenarios and perform validation to ensure software solutions align with functional specifications
- Build and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to support diverse project initiatives
- Train and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional development
Description
We are seeking a senior-level engineer to join our Consumer Identity and Access Management organization, which delivers secure digital identity services for various web and mobile experiences. This principal engineering position is pivotal to our PingFederate-based identity federation and single sign-on platform, crucial for safe authentication and token issuance across multiple applications and external partners. Our team collaborates closely with various stakeholders, including application engineering, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams, to create seamless sign-on flows while safeguarding sensitive identity transactions. We offer a full-time role based in Washington, with additional locations available for flexibility. We are committed to pay equity and offer a competitive total rewards package.
