Requirements

Must:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. - AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer) are preferred. - Kubernetes Certifications (CKA, CKS, CKAD, KCNA) are preferred. - Experience with a systems programming language, such as Go or Python, and shell scripting. - Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure as code principles. - Demonstrated proficiency in public cloud environments, particularly AWS. - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes management within AWS EKS. - Experience with CI/CD automation tools such as CircleCI and ArgoCD. - Familiarity with monitoring and logging in cloud environments using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, CloudWatch, Honeycomb, etc. - Strong understanding of containerization, microservice architecture, and related technologies. - Excellent communication skills and ability to facilitate effective technical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

- I ensure that our infrastructure and applications meet high-quality Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Service Level Objectives (SLO) that are both measured and adhered to. - I make sure we maintain well-documented standards and best practices to guarantee that both existing and new services are designed for high availability and security. - I ensure that appropriate automation and observability are in place to achieve low and continuously improving mean time to recovery (MTTR) for incidents that impact service. - I investigate and document incidents thoroughly, along with their corresponding problem records and corrective actions. - I participate in the Architectural Review Process for new and existing services developed for the KUBRA HQ platform, ensuring compliance with our standards and best practices for high availability, observability, security, and cost efficiency. - I collaborate closely with Development, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to lead root cause analysis for any major incidents, driving effective problem-solving and communication with senior stakeholders. - I design and conduct fault injection experiments to identify potential weaknesses within high-availability architecture, collaborating with Platform Engineering and Software Engineering teams to resolve any findings. - I perform periodic audits of applications and infrastructure to ensure compliance with our standards and identify the necessary remediation.
