Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. - 3 to 6 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or technical support roles. - Proficient in Windows and macOS operating systems. - Familiar with Microsoft 365 and contemporary collaboration tools. - Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and endpoint management platforms. - Experience in supporting remote users and distributed teams. - Strong troubleshooting abilities alongside effective communication and customer service skills. - Preferred: Experience with sales or customer-facing teams. - Preferred: Familiarity with ITIL practices and ITSM tools. - Preferred: Experience with Intune, Jamf, or other mobile device management solutions. - Preferred: Basic scripting or automation knowledge (PowerShell). - Preferred: Relevant IT certifications (Microsoft, Apple, ITIL). - Position requires GMP training and compliance.

Responsibilities

- Provide timely and professional IT support to both office-based and remote users across the organization. - Act as the primary contact for issues related to laptops, applications, and access. - Communicate effectively with users to understand their technical needs, perform root cause analysis, and ensure resolution of issues. - Foster positive relationships with users through consistent service and clear communication. - Proactively identify and address potential issues to minimize disruptions in business operations. - Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems on Windows and macOS devices. - Install, configure, and support endpoint devices including laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, and accessories. - Facilitate smooth onboarding by preparing, configuring, and deploying laptops and required applications for new employees. - Coordinate hardware provisioning and access setup for day-one readiness. - Execute operating system installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting tasks. - Support mobile iOS devices (iPhones and iPads), including enrollment in management platforms. - Oversee provisioning, replacements, upgrades, and lifecycle activities of devices. - Provide support for Microsoft 365 applications and collaboration platforms like Teams. - Troubleshoot authentication and performance issues related to SaaS and business applications. - Collaborate with application owners and vendors to tackle escalated or complex issues. - Maintain documentation of application configurations, common issues, and solutions. - Assist in user and device access management within Active Directory and Entra ID. - Manage account provisioning and deprovisioning along with role-based access requests. - Help users with multi-factor authentication, password management, and secure sign-in processes. - Ensure compliance with security policies on endpoints. - Execute offboarding tasks including account deprovisioning and access removal. - Carefully handle user and system data, adhering to security best practices. - Track incidents and service requests through an ITSM platform, maintaining accurate hardware inventory and asset records. - Provide on-site IT assistance in a small office environment, addressing technical issues promptly. - Partner with Service Desk, Systems, Network, and Security teams to resolve issues efficiently. - Collaborate with vendors and partners as needed for hardware and software solutions. - Identify areas for enhancing support processes, tools, and documentation. - Stay updated with emerging technologies related to endpoint management and user support.

We are KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, actively searching for a Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. This role is initially designed to be onsite four days a week with the potential for remote work on Fridays, ultimately transitioning to three days onsite and two days remote. This is a one-month contract with the possibility of converting to a permanent position. In this fast-paced setting, we value service-oriented and technically skilled individuals who are capable of providing exceptional support to a diverse user base, including both office staff and remote sales teams.
