Requirements
Must:
- 8-11 years of professional experience
- Strong analytical abilities applied to the maintenance and development of business software solutions
- Familiarity with software development standards and methodologies
- Proven track record of identifying efficiencies and optimizing processes
- Ability to recognize systemic process issues and enhance overall performance across organizations
- Knowledge of claims adjudication within a healthcare context
- Understanding of healthcare diagnosis, procedure, and revenue coding and their applications
- Exceptional business analytical skills
- Strong skills in process analysis and documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and adept at multitasking
- Proven capability to work independently and adhere to deadlines
- Preferred experience with claims adjudication for the Federal Employee Program Health Benefit Plan
- Desirable experience on Machine Learning or Data Science projects
- Relevant experience in a software development environment in an analytical capacity
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Proficiency in BI tools such as MicroStrategy, BusinessObjects, or Cognos
- Experience with relational databases and query tools
- Quick learner of new applications, processes, and procedures
- Demonstrated experience in gathering and documenting requirements for healthcare projects
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to exercise independent judgment
- Professional demeanor with the ability to build effective partnerships across functions
- Strategic thinker with intellectual curiosity focused on outcomes
- Experience in data warehouse implementations
- 8-10 years of experience in BI, data analysis, or a related field within the Healthcare Payer sector
- Proven skills in drafting software requirements and test specifications utilizing Agile methodology, including tools like HPE-Agile Manager
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and advancement of business software solutions
- Analyze and enhance existing processes for better efficiency
- Identify and resolve systemic process issues to drive performance improvements
- Engage in claims adjudication processes, specifically within healthcare settings
- Apply knowledge of diagnosis, procedure, and revenue codes within healthcare projects
- Conduct in-depth business analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document requirements accurately
- Develop clear and effective communication materials for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support project teams by gathering and analyzing data to inform decision-making
- Document software requirements and create test specifications in an Agile framework
- Engage in ongoing learning and application of best practices in data analysis
- Facilitate teamwork while maintaining an independent focus on objectives
