Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in administering DB2 databases and subsystems
- Proficient in utilizing ZOS tools and utilities: TSO, ISPF, SDSF, JCL, DFSORT, ICETOOL, DFDSS, DFSMS, DFHSM, OMVS, RACF, REXX/CLIST
- Familiarity with DB2 tools such as SPUFI, QMF, DB2 Admin Tool or similar, DB2 Object Compare or similar, IBM Data Studio, OMEGAMON or similar, and Query Monitor
- Strong understanding of DB2 utilities along with backup and recovery processes
- Solid knowledge of COBOL/CICS/DB2 application programming environments
- Capable of analyzing, debugging, and troubleshooting issues and ABENDs
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the DB2 database and its associated subsystems
- Monitor storage and support capacity planning efforts
- Assist in securing ZOS resources and performing routine maintenance tasks
- Facilitate data migration activities as required
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues proactively
- Collaborate with the team to ensure optimal database performance and reliability
