Requirements
Must:
- Associate degree in Computer Science or Networking
- 3-5 years of relevant technical support experience, preferably in an MSP environment
- Proficient understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration
- Familiarity with networking principles, firewalls, and security protocols
- Preferred knowledge of Hyper-V, VMWare, FortiGate, SonicWALL, and Ubiquiti
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical individuals
- Capable of training new hires and cross-training existing employees
- Experience managing client communication, tight deadlines, and multitasking
- Relevant certifications from Microsoft and CompTIA are advantageous
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive technical assistance to customers through email, phone, remote support, and on-site visits related to computer systems, software, hardware, and networking
- Assess and prioritize customer issues as logged in our ticketing system and during incoming calls
- Balance daily responsibilities with customer requirements and timelines
- Log time in the ticketing system for client invoicing and internal records each day
- Address inquiries either face-to-face or via telephone
- Demonstrate effective troubleshooting skills and articulate solutions to clients
- Install, modify, and repair hardware and software for computers
- Execute diagnostic programs to identify and resolve technical issues
- Assist in the installation of computer peripherals for users
- Follow up with clients to confirm the resolution of their issues
- Gather customer feedback regarding computer usage and propose innovative solutions if needed
- Identify recurring issues and devise strategies to mitigate them in the future
- Promptly escalate complex issues to management if additional expertise or resources are necessary
- Record new procedures and revise existing documentation as required
- Participate in weekly department meetings and bi-monthly company gatherings
- Carry out other assigned tasks and responsibilities as required
- Serve as backup for team members when necessary
