Requirements
Must:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations in the perioperative environment
- Proven communication skills that are direct, empathetic, and articulate
- Strong patient-centered and customer-focused communication abilities
- Capability to frequently lift/carry 25 pounds or more, with occasional work above shoulder level
Responsibilities
- Support the operating room team by performing delegated tasks related to surgical care
- Deliver medical and surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures under supervision
- Ensure the operating room environment remains safe by collaborating with the Operating Room and Sterile Processing teams
- Act as a liaison between Sterile Processing, Supply Chain, and the Operating rooms
- Assemble case carts as assigned
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
