Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- I have accumulated 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.
- I demonstrate expertise in cybersecurity practices, threat management, and incident response.
- I possess hands-on experience with server management in both Windows and Linux environments, as well as enterprise M365 environments, including identity and access management.
- I have a solid understanding of network and server security, backup operations, and disaster recovery.
- I bring experience with IP data and voice networks in both wired and wireless settings.
- I possess a strong grasp of network architecture, firewalls, and cloud infrastructure.
- I have developed and implemented security policies, procedures, and training programs.
- I am equipped with excellent communication, leadership, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- I am available to work off-hours when necessary for on-call support, system outages, emergencies, or scheduled maintenance.
Responsibilities
- In my role as Director, I will spearhead the design, execution, and oversight of Juniata’s primary technological infrastructure and cybersecurity strategy.
- I will ensure our systems are reliable, secure, and scalable, fostering a collaborative atmosphere among academic and administrative departments.
- I will develop and implement long-term strategies for infrastructure and cybersecurity that align with institutional objectives and collaborate with campus leaders to support various priorities through technology.
- I will create policies and standards that promote a secure, reliable, and sustainable IT environment, while staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and evaluating their potential impact on campus operations.
- I will oversee daily operations of networks, servers, storage, and cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance of critical systems.
- I will lead infrastructure planning, maintenance, and lifecycle management, while managing disaster recovery and business continuity efforts.
- I will chair the IT Security Team, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities and coordinating incident responses, while also providing regular security training for our campus community.
