Requirements
Must:
- Associate degree in a relevant field, alongside pertinent drafting experience, or an equivalent blend of education and professional background.
- Fundamental comprehension of computer-aided design and product structure design, including details, parts, assemblies, and installations.
- Knowledge of machining methods for metallic components.
- Over 3 years of aerospace design expertise, with a focus on detailed and assembly part work.
- Proficiency in CATIA or similar solid modeling software.
- Familiarity with Integrated Visualization Tools (IVT).
Responsibilities
- Offers materials and process guidance to commercial aerospace initiatives and system design teams throughout the entire product life cycle, from initial concept to production and ongoing support.
- Assesses electrical component materials, process guidelines, and engineering papers involved in design regulation, certification, and hardware fabrication.
- Detects and analyzes effects of non-conformities in electrical parts and suggests corrective or preventive solutions.
- Performs engineering lab investigations and failure diagnostics to ascertain the root causes and remedial measures for defective electrical components.
- Investigates new technologies for potential integration into future products to maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborates or leads engineering teams—including Design, Stress, Quality, Manufacturing, and Suppliers—to address materials and process hurdles throughout the product life span.
- Creates requirements, specifications, and documentation for tools, equipment, materials, and processes that enhance the full life cycle of products.
