Requirements
Must:
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in systems engineering
- Proficiency in query development and optimization using SQL across various database engines (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc)
- Skilled in database development and engineering with Microsoft SQL Server, emphasizing integration and reporting services
- Experience in Grafana report and dashboard creation
- Knowledgeable about SQL Server integration with external data sources and automation for email notifications and data export
- Familiarity with data structures, software engineering principles, and computer systems
- Capability to create on-demand and ad-hoc metrics using SQL
- Strong multitasking skills to handle various assignments efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Scripting experience in structured programming languages (Python, PowerShell, C#, VB, Java, etc) preferred
- Possession of Microsoft and Linux system certifications preferred
- Background in Unix/Linux/Windows system administration is advantageous
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in computer science, data analytics, software engineering, or a related field preferred
- Security and Microsoft SQL Server certifications are a plus
Responsibilities
- Analyze and integrate data elements from various sources to generate valuable metrics and actionable reports
- Collaborate with data managers, project managers, and system administrators to identify specific business intelligence needs and address data anomalies
- Review code, queries, and table configurations to develop a security strategy solution
- Construct and optimize data workflows
- Work with IT management and system administrators to establish and sustain a solid business intelligence environment
- Generate ad-hoc reports to maintain a secure enterprise computing environment
- Utilize security tools to address and remediate vulnerabilities within specified timelines
- Create security reports and monitor vulnerability remediation projects as a significant aspect of the role
Description
We are looking for a Systems Engineer - IV to join our team in Lacey, WA, on a contract basis. This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $50.00 to $55.00.
