Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant field
- Extensive experience as an LTE/5G modem protocol engineer
- Proficient in programming, especially in Java
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of object-oriented principles and design patterns
- Familiarity with multithreading concepts and optimizing memory usage
- Understanding of Android SDK and various Android versions
- Experience in Android or desktop application development/validation
- Knowledge of NR 5G NSA, NR 5G SA, LTE, VoLTE, and TCP/IP protocols
- Experience with RIL (LTE, CDMA, EvDO, WCDMA, GSM/EDGE)
- Familiarity with wireless networks, architectures, and protocols
- Proficient in wireless modem logging and analysis
- Experienced with protocol analyzers and testing tools (e.g., XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, QCAT, MA, STT)
- Knowledgeable in system performance development, KPI measurement, and parameter analysis
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent qualification required
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate new features and KPIs for 5G and LTE based on relevant protocols (ML1, LL1, RRC, RLC, MAC, PDCP, IP)
- Collaborate on protocol feature development for Android and iOS applications and validate these features
- Identify and resolve issues, ensuring proper fixes are implemented and validated
- Assist customers with troubleshooting and provide demonstrations
- Work closely with various teams, including SMEs, development teams, and server teams, for feature integration, issue resolution, and fix validation
- Document user manuals for applications, new features, and new devices

We are seeking an experienced LTE/5G Modem Protocol Engineer for our team located in Bedminster, NJ, with a hybrid work model. This position is integral to the development, maintenance, and validation of 5G and LTE features across a wide range of Android devices. We value collaborative problem-solving and innovative design, striving to create high-quality products for our clients. This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented team over a contract period of 12+ months.
