Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic or in Avionics (military, commercial, corporate, or general)
- At least 3 years of Technical Writing experience or a minimum of 5 years in aircraft maintenance
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite
- Preferred but not required: Bachelors degree
- Preferred certifications: FAA Airframe & Powerplant, FCC General Radiotelephone Operator
- Exposure to SLICWAVE, MIL-STD-40051, S1000D, MIL-STD 1388, GEIA-STD-0007
- Knowledge of XML
- Lean Six Sigma certification is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze various engineering datasets, reliability and maintainability information, and customer support concepts to formulate support solutions and products
- Offer recommendations regarding product supportability and create operational maintenance tasks and support resources
- Develop systems that meet supportability criteria
- Identify and evaluate logistics support options during product definition and compile logistics support analysis records and reports
- Ascertain spares provisioning needs and make recommendations for spare and replacement parts, including levels and stocking
- Author and update technical documentation concerning the operation, testing, and maintenance of aircraft systems and/or components
- Assess aircraft and fleet operational performance, reliability, and availability to develop maintenance concepts
