Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry (or equivalents)
- Typically 9 or more years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Catia experience is mandatory
- ABET accreditation preferred, but not required
- Additional experience in aerospace industry is advantageous
- Experience with airframe and wiring/electrical installations is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements for system design
- Create, maintain, and revise structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3-D CAD tools or other design methods
- Analyze and incorporate test results to ensure systems and components meet specifications
- Oversee supplier development, testing, and production activities, collaborating with suppliers to optimize designs and meet program objectives
- Innovate new design and analysis processes and tools to enhance development quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
- Research emerging technologies for future product design concepts
- Operate under general supervision and guidance
