Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Proven expertise in C++ and Object-Oriented programming in a production setting.
- Prior experience in contracting or consulting with a strong track record of quickly integrating into existing teams.
- Familiarity with the Qt/QML framework, Linux, and/or Docker is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, including tools for code analysis, memory management, unit testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Knowledge of linear algebra, computational geometry, computer graphics, and software architecture design principles.
- Experience with medical imaging, image processing, computer vision, algorithm development, computer-assisted surgery, or robotics is a plus.
- Experience in biomedical software development or in a regulated software development environment.
Responsibilities
- Rapidly grasp the existing architecture, codebase, and development procedures.
- Independently create and develop software components based on defined requirements and architectural guidelines, adhering to coding standards and design best practices.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Management team and fellow engineers to contribute to the success of the project as an integral technical team member.
- Adhere to established SDLC protocols to maintain software quality through code reviews, unit and component testing, code analysis, and defect tracking.
- Produce software engineering documentation in accordance with R&D procedures as outlined by the Quality Management System.
- Effectively communicate progress, potential risks, and technical decisions to the team.
