Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of experience in fundamental Computer Science principles and object-oriented design patterns
- Familiarity with space or satellite ground mission capabilities and relevant products or clients
- Proven experience in leading software development endeavors, holding roles such as Architect, Lead, or Chief Engineer
- Active Top Secret/SCI US Security Clearance
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent professional experience
- Proficiency in one or more languages or technologies such as Java, C++, Python, and various JavaScript frameworks (e.g., REACT, jQuery UI)
- Experience with automation and dependency management tools (e.g., Ivy, Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins)
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of methodologies like Test-Driven Development (TDD), Agile software development, DevSecOps, and CI/CD
- Experience serving as a Technical Lead, Software Lead, Software Architect, or Chief Engineer in complex software projects
- Experience with software addressing control systems, embedded FPGA, low-latency deterministic processes, operator interfaces, and optical sensors
Responsibilities
- Manage the architecture, design, development, and evaluation of software systems
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure software requirements and models meet customer and operational criteria
- Direct the completion of comprehensive system-level software analyses to pinpoint risks, issues, and opportunities
- Guide the software team in conducting thorough code reviews to ensure compliance with requirements and standards
- Supervise the evaluation of products and processes for consistency with project plans and industry standards
- Investigate and oversee the adoption of current and emerging software tools and technologies
- This role requires being onsite 100% in Albuquerque, NM, engaging in development, design, review preparation, and customer coordination
Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Architect to join our Space Mission Systems (SMS) team in Albuquerque, NM. This key position will influence end-to-end software development, encompassing architecture, design, coding, and testing, aligned with the Rocky programs milestones. Our teams are dedicated to innovating next-generation products and services for both commercial and government clients, covering all engineering aspects, from technology investment and concept development to integration and product demonstration. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $95 to $100 per hour and the chance to work in a dynamic environment that prioritizes collaboration and innovation.
