Requirements
Must:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with C, C++, and Python
- Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) from an accredited institution, and 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Green Hills INTEGRITY or VxWorks (preferred)
- Understanding of Agile software development methodologies (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (preferred)
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) (preferred)
- Previous involvement in interpreting, designing, and implementing software based on formal requirements (preferred)
- Experience with software-hardware integration in embedded or real-time systems (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Engage in the complete software engineering lifecycle, encompassing analysis, design, coding, testing, and integration
- Utilize object-oriented analysis and design principles to create high-quality, maintainable software
- Develop and execute unit tests; provide support for integration and formal qualification testing
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across various engineering disciplines
- Create software that meets detailed technical and system requirements
Description
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer specializing in C/C++ development to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This onsite contract position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $60 to $65 USD. In this role, you will play a vital part in the full software engineering lifecycle, following our programs Software Development Plan (SDP). We value engineers who excel in collaborative environments, have a passion for tackling complex challenges, and possess strong expertise in C/C++ or related programming languages.
