Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree or higher, with generally 3+ years of experience in a software engineering role, or a Masters degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience. - Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python; experience with contemporary coding languages is beneficial. - Familiarity with AI frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch is advantageous. - Knowledge of AI algorithms and/or experience with AI tools is preferred. - Strong collaborative skills, thriving in a dynamic startup or high-tech environment. - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for effective engagement with cross-functional teams. - Must be able to work onsite in Cambridge, MA; no relocation assistance provided. - Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance if sponsored.

Responsibilities

- Design, create, document, and implement effective and suitable Artificial Intelligence algorithms and models, taking ethical considerations and potential biases into account. - Evaluate existing AI tools for their effectiveness in code generation, particularly for avionics applications. - Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to ensure data integrity and uncover patterns, trends, and insights. - Test, document, and debug AI models and software systems. - Train, assess, and enhance the performance of AI models. - Conduct Safety Risk Management for AI models in alignment with organizational standards. - Integrate and deploy scalable AI models within production settings. - Monitor, validate, and optimize AI models that are in production. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and domain experts to understand business needs, collect feedback, and refine AI models and algorithms. - Research and adopt current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulations within the AI engineering realm, contributing to our AI Design Practices.
