Requirements

Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Workday integration development (Studio, Orchestrate, EIB, Core Connectors) - Proven track record in Workday Extend development and orchestration processes - Advanced skills in BIRT design and reporting - Extensive knowledge of web services (SOAP, REST) and data transformation techniques (XML, JSON, XSLT) - Strong grasp of Workday HCM processes and underlying data structures - Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capability to work autonomously - Prior experience across the complete software development lifecycle: gathering requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support - Effective communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences - Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a commitment to quality - Ability to juggle multiple priorities in fast-paced project settings - Preferable: Workday certifications in Integrations, Workday Extend, or related fields - Preferable: Experience with integrations across various Workday functional areas (HCM, Payroll, Finance) - Preferable: Background in high-complexity enterprise environments or extensive data integration projects

Responsibilities

- Spearhead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of Workday integrations utilizing Studio, Orchestrate, EIB, Core Connectors, and Web Services (SOAP/REST) - Create and maintain sophisticated integrations with external systems and third-party APIs, ensuring effective error management, monitoring, and performance enhancement - Construct custom Workday solutions leveraging Workday Extend, including orchestrations and application components - Develop and refine data transformation logic utilizing XML, JSON, XSLT, and calculated fields - Generate advanced reporting and document outputs utilizing BIRT and other reporting tools while showcasing strong layout and design capabilities - Collaborate with business teams to translate reporting needs into technical implementations - Provide in-depth insight into Workday Human Capital Management processes (Core HCM, Absence/Time, Payroll, Benefits, etc.) - Comprehend Workday business process configurations, security measures, and data models relevant to integrations and applications - Diagnose and resolve intricate technical challenges in both production and testing settings - Document integration and development artifacts, including technical specifications, data mappings, workflows, and testing plans - Mentor and support less experienced developers or technical personnel - Stay updated on Workday releases, new features, and industry best practices

This role involves leading complex Workday solutions in integrations, custom development, reporting, and HCM processes. We offer a contract-to-hire opportunity, where you will work onsite for four days a week and can work remotely one day.
