Requirements
Must:
- Advanced technical education in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (Bachelors degree preferred)
- At least 14 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Preferred: PhD with 9 years, Masters with 12 years of experience
- Experience in applying engineering processes and principles
- Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Skills in modeling or simulating systems
- Domain knowledge in system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation
- Experience in product/systems development and integration
- Proficient in implementing and maintaining systems engineering tools, schedules, and metrics (e.g., DOORs, CAMEO, Earned value management)
- Technical domain knowledge (e.g., air vehicle)
- Proven experience in technical engineering leadership
- Current Department of Defense Security Clearance
Responsibilities
- Utilize a collaborative approach to lead planning, design, development, and verification of complex system solutions
- Assess customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements
- Integrate technical parameters and ensure compatibility of all interfaces
- Conduct analyses to optimize system architecture and affordability factors
- Evaluate aspects including safety, reliability, maintainability, and system security
- Manage and improve requirements management processes and tools
- Implement risk, issues, and opportunity management processes
- Oversee technology readiness assessments to ensure mission success
