Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in Java programming with strong fundamentals
- Understanding of object-oriented design principles and basic concurrency concepts
- Experience with Spring Boot; familiarity with Spring Batch or similar frameworks is advantageous
- Knowledge of Kafka architecture including producers, consumers, and topics
- Practical experience with AWS services, particularly S3, and familiarity with data lake concepts
- Eagerness to enhance skills with Apache Iceberg table formats, lifecycle management, and storage optimization
- Ability to write complex SQL queries and interest in learning distributed query engines such as Trino/Starburst
- Experience in querying large datasets and optimizing fundamental query performance
- Foundational understanding of Kubernetes, including core components like deployments, ConfigMaps, and Secrets
- Exposure to Helm charts and CI/CD workflows
- Basic knowledge of secrets management tools such as HashiCorp Vault, with a desire to learn about dynamic secret issuance and Kubernetes authentication methods
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and improve software solutions
- Build and manage AWS services while ensuring data integrity and optimization
- Write and optimize SQL queries to enhance data processing efficiencies
- Engage with Kafka messaging services for robust data handling
