Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Relevant cloud, DevOps, or security certifications are desirable
- Over 7 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or similar fields
- Practical experience with CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure automation
- No direct people management experience necessary
- Proven capability to influence, mentor, and guide teams without formal authority
- Experience in enhancing software delivery and operational processes
- Familiarity with deployment metrics, reliability engineering concepts, and continuous improvement practices
- Strong expertise with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation technologies
- Proven proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform or similar)
- Experience with observability tools (metrics, logs, traces)
- Working knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integrating security scanning
- Scripting or automation skills in languages like Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities due to the enablement-focused nature of the role
- Consultative attitude paired with a passion for teaching and mentoring engineers
- Capability to work across various teams and technical domains
- Willingness to adhere to required onsite work expectations
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to instill best practices in observability, CI/CD, and application security
- Educate developers on implementing logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerts, and reliability standards (SLOs/SLIs)
- Guide the design and refinement of CI/CD pipelines using modern tools and innovative delivery strategies (blue/green, canary, feature flags)
- Enable secure software delivery by embedding security scanning, secrets management, and secure coding practices within pipelines
- Assist teams in automating safe, frequent deployments with built-in monitoring and security
- Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks that affect release velocity, Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR), and system reliability
