Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in network engineering
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Meraki routers and switches, firewalls, SD WAN, and load balancers
- Preferably possess CCNP or CCIE certification or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring a technically diverse team
- Extensive knowledge of LAN, WAN, cloud networking concepts, design, and implementation
- Expertise in firewall design, implementation, and maintenance within a global environment
- Solid understanding of ZTNA and SASE concepts, SD-WAN, and cloud networking best practices
- Proficient in routing and switching protocols including static, OSPF, and BGP
- Familiarity with Voice Over IP (VoIP) and Quality of Service (QoS)
- Ability to collaborate within diverse teams and demonstrate effective troubleshooting skills
- In-depth knowledge of wireless networking standards, including IEEE 802.11 g/n/ac/ax
- Skilled at monitoring and analyzing network performance data for optimization
- Ability to propose integrated technical solutions for data communications
- Strong grasp of network security issues and ability to implement solutions to mitigate risks
- Proven record of conducting research and recommending improvements
- Adept at analyzing business and technical challenges and providing suitable IT solutions
- Awareness of various business disciplines, including manufacturing and R&D
- Experience in Agile methodologies for project execution
- Familiar with ITIL processes relating to incident, request, change management, and problem resolution
- Ability to lead projects and generate work breakdown structures
- Demonstrated capability in educating and training team members
- Proficient in relevant PC software applications and effective use of tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Advise management on strategic direction for network and telecommunications
- Ensure effective identification, isolation, and problem resolution of network equipment issues across all sites
- Design and implement network and telecommunication services for new and existing business locations
- Collaborate with teams to conduct thorough investigations of network issues, including root cause analysis
- Provide support and training for end users and other technical groups
- Lead teams in the configuration and maintenance of network equipment according to industry standards
- Oversee vendor activities to ensure service level agreements are adhered to
- Ensure proper documentation is created and maintained for technical processes
- Monitor network performance and compile reports on key statistics
- Engage in analysis and research of emerging technologies and solutions
- Utilize specialized business and technical knowledge when interacting with clients and vendors
- Commit to delivering quality service and proactively addressing client needs
- Share on-call responsibilities for network support across global sites
- Work in a hybrid office environment.
